The River Road East Fire outside Paradise grew to roughly 16,790 acres by Monday,  Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino downgraded to a pre-evacuation warning for residences close to the East Fork Fire near Olney, and more regional fire news.

A wildfire west of Olney expanded its footprint Friday as authorities warned nearby residents to leave the area as critical weather conditions threatened to further fan the flames.

Two wildfires along Hungry Horse Reservoir continued to stir up smoky conditions today, contributing to poor air quality for most of the Flathead Valley.
